The Best Petrol Loyalty Programmes & Offers in the UK Right Now
Feb 9, 2024
Many of the biggest brands in petrol offer loyalty schemes which can help you economise on your fuel spend. By building up points, you’ll get money off in the future with these stations. We’ve rounded up some of the best ones available in the UK at the moment - read on to see how you can get the most miles from your money.
Tesco Clubcard Fuel Save: Each time you fill up at Tesco, you could be rewarded clubcard points for each litre of fuel you purchase. Over time, you’ll accumulate points which you can convert into vouchers - these can then be spent on more fuel or in Tesco’s shops.
Shell Go+: Shell have recently relaunched their loyalty programme and it looks great. If you join, you can expect money off your fuel on every 10th visit, as well as 10% off hot drinks and food (including Costa), 10% off Shell vehicle products and surprise treats and gifts along the way.
Nectar: Sainsbury’s loyalty card is one of the best known and most used in the UK for good reason. It operates on a points collection model, where you accumulate points for each pound you spend. You can then use your points on fuel or goods in Sainsbury’s shops and partner outlets. It’s common to see periods of bonus points and exclusive limited-time discounts.
BPme Rewards: Similar to Tesco & Nectar, BP will give you points when you spend at their stations. These points can then be redeemed against future fuel and purchases in-store. In addition, they have some great partners like Amazon and M&S that you can spend your points with.
Asda Fuel Price Cap: Not a loyalty programme as such, but Asda often implements a fuel price cap, which limits the maximum price per litre for a set period. It’s worth keeping an eye on their announcements for the latest deals available.
By joining these schemes, you’ll find you’re always getting something back when you fill up. Given these are some of the biggest petrol providers in the UK, you’ll be covered wherever you are.
